also to clarify: i won't judge who does this and i am not saying that this is bad/they will inevitably make bad videos i just do not personally trust private equity enough to have any say on what i would make since they are by definition only focused on making money doing youtube as a job is hard, extremely risky and dependent on a lot of stuff that you quite literally can't control since the platform is a black box, so i don't judge them for wanting to play it safe it's not just for me personally, while i am totally ok with taking sponsors (and even there i don't let them control what i say) or working with/for companies i want and need a space for my own creative projects to be free from these kinds of constraints or pushes toward potential enshittification
