finding out just now that a lot of youtube channels around me have been literally bought by private equity (including some i follow since forever and like a lot) so i am making this post as a digital equivalent of shooting at the sky to keep the rent in your neighbourhood low to confirm that i am independent/this is not the case for me/i would not really tolerate compromising my freedom in what i can do creatively even if it meant making bank
